Launching Drew's Thoughts

It's been a long time since I wrote for my personal blog. Recently, I've been doing a good deal of writing for the ExactTarget Blog. You can read some of my posts over there to see some of my recent work, research, and insights on digital marketing, email, social media, mobile, and content marketing.

Graduating college, life, and starting my job at ExactTarget got in the way of blogging, but I decided I wanted to start writing regularly again here. I'm reviving this blog and from now on will be posting regularly.

Since I am reviving this blog, I am also deciding to refocus my content and areas of interest for this blog. I previously wrote broadly about marketing, advertising, the music industry, and college life. I have now decided to focus my posts around the four following topics:

  • The intersection of marketing and technology.
  • Startups.
  • Disruptive technology trends (which happen to be revolving around mobile technology currently).
  • Indianapolis.

This will allow my blog and content to have consistency and allow anyone who reads my writing here to have a clear expectation of what he or she is getting into. It will also allow me to build consistent knowledge, personal brand, and experience in these areas to provide more and more informative and thought-provoking musings and content in the future.

As for the moment, these topics are all still being molded. I would love to hear from anyone who reads my content what they would like to read about or topics they would like to see me write about. I am open to any suggestions and welcome any feedback you have in the comments or in a personal email to drew@drewbeechler.com.

Look out for my first post on Apple's recent innovations next week.
